Spotlight On Our Profession:

Congratulations to our first member spotlight of the year, Angela Paynter, OTR/L!  She is an Occupational Therapist at Elite Therapy, Edmond OK.

Her nominator said, “She is the most sincere OT you will ever meet.  She goes above and beyond for her patients, even finding them clothes/shoes when realizing their extreme need.”

Angela graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2006 with a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy specializing in early intervention.  She has extensive experience working with children with a wide range of developmental delays and sensory processing issues in schools, home, community settings and pediatric clinics. She is especially passionate about helping children who have experienced trauma due to family separation and advocating for all families to be able to access the services their children need to experience their highest potential.

She is an absolute delight to work with and shows sincere compassion to everyone around her. Congratulations Angela! OKOTA salutes you and all of the wonderful things you add to our profession in the state of Oklahoma!
